No. You can start right away. We recommend linking your email as a safety net if you want to reopen your lists on a new device. Email is also how you access your lists on more than one device.

Yes. You can create several lists - for example Family, Cabin, and Work - and switch between them in the app.

Yes. Paste an ordinary list, review the items, and add them. That is free. A message or a recipe can be interpreted with Cartomi Plus, and you still choose what to include.

Open sharing on the list and send the link to the people you shop with. They open the link and can work on the same list right away. Anyone with the current link has access.

Yes. You can create a new link or revoke the current one so the old link no longer works for new people. Anyone already on the list keeps access until you remove them. You can also remove individual people from the list.

Yes. Everyone with access can add items, edit, and check them off. Changes sync continuously when you are online.

Yes. When you are online, the list updates for everyone. You can also use it offline. Changes sync when you reconnect.

Yes. Each list is shared separately with its own link. You can have one list with family and another with colleagues.

Only people you share the list with via link (or email invite). Do not share the link with people who should not have access. You can rotate or revoke the link.

Enter your email on the new device. We will send you a code and a link to sign in and open your lists.

Lists are stored on our server, but without email, access is tied to the device that created them - so we cannot open them on a new device alone. If you shared the list, another participant can send you the link again. If you linked an email, sign in on the new device and open your lists there.

Yes. You can delete a list in the app when you no longer need it.

Lists live on our server so sharing and sync work, and a copy is kept on your device for offline use. Without email, access is tied to that device. With email, you can open the same lists on more devices.

You can delete individual lists in the app. To delete an account or other personal data, contact us using the email on the contact page.

Plus lets you add photos to items, add groceries from a photo (e.g. fridge, cupboard, or recipe), add items with your voice, and import items from ordinary text or a recipe. Core list features, including an ordinary list, stay free.

Yes. Take a photo of e.g. the fridge, a cupboard, a recipe, or a shopping list. Cartomi finds the items, and you choose what goes on the list. This is part of Cartomi Plus.

Yes. You can say the items you need and let Cartomi find them and get them ready for your list. Voice input is part of Cartomi Plus.

Yes. Everyone on the list can see photos and use items created with Plus, even if they use Cartomi Free.

You continue on Free unless you choose to pay for Plus. You are not charged automatically.

They stay. You can still view and delete them. New photos and new AI analyses require Plus.
